Civil Air Patrol

The Civil Air Patrol (CAP) offers an incredible youth program for kids aged 12 to 18, designed to inspire, educate, and empower future leaders through aviation and aerospace exploration.

As cadets, young people engage in hands-on STEM experiences like rocketry, drone technology, and flight orientation rides with experienced pilots. CAP provides structured opportunities to develop leadership skills, physical fitness, and strong character, while also introducing real-world emergency training like search-and-rescue and disaster response.

Through uniforms, ranks, and teamwork, cadets learn discipline, respect, and a deep sense of civic responsibility. They participate in special events, summer encampments, and community service projects that build confidence and purpose. With mentorship from adult members, access to scholarships, and exposure to exciting careers in aviation and space, CAP helps young people grow into capable, motivated, and community-minded individuals—all while having fun with like-minded peers.

Leadership

In Civil Air Patrol, kids learn leadership by taking on real responsibilities within their squadrons. They progress through a structured rank system, leading teams and mentoring younger cadets. Leadership classes and hands-on activities teach communication, decision-making, and accountability. Cadets plan events, solve problems, and learn to lead by example. These experiences build confidence and prepare them for future success in any career path.
